... another Frozen Embryo Transfer! Wooo hooooo! Come on, isn't that at the top of every "entering the second half of her thirties" woman's wish list? ;)
It would be SO much more fun to be heading into the officially no-longer-in-my-early-thirties territory already pregnant. But the transfer in April didn't take, as you all know from my last post. Funny how these things NEVER go as planned.
And now...I'm scared that our second FET won't work either. We only have three embryos left. If they don't survive the thaw, or if one doesn't implant...that's it for us. I don't have the stamina (nor do we currently have the financial reserves) for another fresh IVF cycle. Bruce and I have talked about it, and we think after this, we're done. As much as we want Tatum to have a sibling, and as much as we'd LOVE the opportunity to share our lives with a second child--if this FET doesn't do the trick, we'll count our blessings and close up shop.
Of course I'll be hoping and praying for a successful transfer on June 20 (please send good vibes in our direction next month, if you have any to spare!), but if the transfer doesn't result in a pregnancy (or worse, we get pregnant again and then miscarry), I need look no further than our amazing, light-of-my-life son to know that it will be okay.
(At the same time, looking at him and his adorable smile makes me want another child even more! Arrrrgh!)

Happy Birthday! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for the upcoming FET. Hope that the stars will align for you and your family and hope that it will end with another cutie pie like Tate.

I can relate on some level to what you write here.. I am about to turn 37 and am hoping for a successful pregnancy- but at the same time am prepared to be at peace with my rainbow baby.
